Cessation of menses is a common issue young women face when undergoing Chemotherapy for Cancer.

🤷🏻‍♀️All women are born with a fixed amount of eggs which start to mature one at each cycle starting from puberty.

🔹And these eggs or ova are rapidly dividing and growing therefore very sensitive to toxic agents which can limit their functions.

🔸Insult caused by the chemotherapy drugs can kill the eggs before their normal growth during each cycle.
This is known as POI - Premature Ovarian Insufficiency.

🔹Due to the result of this, cycles start to become irregular and anovulatory cycles start to pitch in.
